# Alerts and bots

Price alerts, the Telegram bot, wallet following, and an API for your own bot.

Price alerts, the Telegram bot, wallet following, and an API for your own bot.

{% hint style="success" %}
**Live.** Alerts, the bot and the API for bots are available now. None of them ever signs or sends a transaction for you.
{% endhint %}

## Price alerts

Set an alert on a token, and TRNCH tells you when it fires.

* **Price** above or below a level you choose.
* **Change** of a set percent over 1 hour, 24 hours or since you set the alert.
* **Once** or **every time**. An alert that repeats waits at least an hour between two sends.
* Alerts follow our reference price, the median of the token's active pools. See [Routing and quotes](/trade/routing-and-quotes.md).
* You can have up to 20 active alerts, and up to 10 alerts per hour in total.

You can also ask for alerts on new tokens entering the Heat, on tokens you hold when they move, and on signs of a rug.

Alerts reach you on Telegram, in your browser, or both. Set them up in [Profile](https://trnch.fun/profile#alerts). To use Telegram, link the bot with the code or the QR code shown there. The code works once and expires after 10 minutes. To get alerts in your browser, turn on notifications for this device.

## The Telegram bot

[@TrnchBot](https://t.me/TrnchBot) brings the Heat to Telegram.

| Command                               | What it does                                                |
| ------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| `/heat` | The top 5 in the Heat, with quick buy buttons. |
| `/price` | Price, market cap, liquidity and safety signals of a token. |
| `/buy <ticker or address> <usd>`      | Opens a prefilled buy.                                      |
| `/sell <ticker or address> <percent>` | Opens a prefilled sell.                                     |
| `/positions` | Your positions and PnL, once your account is linked. |
| `/follow <address>`                   | Follows a wallet.                                           |
| `/unfollow`                           | Stops following a wallet.                                   |

`/alerts` lists your alerts, `/stop` pauses them and `/start` resumes them.

The bot never signs. `/buy`, `/sell` and the buy buttons open a TRNCH page with the swap filled in. You check it and sign in your own wallet.

## Follow wallets

Press **Follow** on a trader's profile to be alerted when that wallet buys or sells. The button also sits next to wallets in Recent swaps and Holders.

* You can follow up to 20 wallets, and add a short label to each.
* Only trades made after you followed, and less than 10 minutes old, are sent.
* An alert comes with a link that opens the same swap on TRNCH. You decide, and you sign. Nothing is ever copied for you.

## API for bots

Build your own bot on the Heat. The full guide is at [trnch.fun/bot](https://trnch.fun/bot).

* **Heat feed:** the live race, or only the tokens that entered since your last call.
* **Quote, build, buy and sell:** TRNCH asks every router, keeps the best route and returns a transaction ready to sign. A quote is checked the same way as on the site.
* **Webhooks:** TRNCH sends your server a signed message when a token enters the Heat. It carries public token data only.
* **Keys:** create up to 3 in [Profile](https://trnch.fun/profile#api). A key is shown once. TRNCH keeps only a fingerprint of it.
* **Fee:** 1% on swaps built through the API. It is taken inside the route, so the amounts returned are net of it.

A key never gives access to your funds. It cannot sign, and it only builds swaps that pay the wallet that created it. Your bot signs with its own key and sends the transaction. TRNCH never holds your funds and never sees your private key. If a key leaks, revoke it in Profile and it stops working at once.

{% hint style="warning" %}
A bot trades fast and without a pause. Test with small amounts, and keep its key in a wallet that holds only what you can lose. See the [Risk Disclosure](/legal/risk.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.trnch.fun/alerts-and-bots.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
