# Risk Disclosure

The risks of trading new tokens and of the game. Read this before you use TRNCH.

**Last updated: 28 September 2026**

Read this before you use TRNCH. Trading newly created tokens is among the riskiest activities in crypto. You can lose everything you put in, quickly, and nobody can reverse it: not TRNCH, not a router, not a wallet provider.

## 1. You can lose 100%

Most tokens listed on TRNCH are days, hours or minutes old, thinly traded and often held by a small number of wallets. Their price can multiply or collapse within minutes. Assume that any amount you swap can go to zero.

## 2. Heat is not a safety rating

Heat, the trust factor, the filters (no route on our routers, supply concentrated in a few wallets, pool too thin) and every number on the Service are computed from public on-chain and third-party data. They are momentum and plausibility signals, not verification. They can be late, incomplete or wrong. A high Heat does not mean a token is legitimate, and a token that passes our filters can still be a scam. TRNCH does not vet, audit or endorse any token. See the [Heat methodology](/heat/methodology.md).

## 3. Honeypots, rugs, imitations and malicious contracts

We keep tokens with no route on our routers out of the Heat, but we do not test whether a token can be sold. A token can also turn malicious after it was listed: liquidity removed, sell tax enabled, blacklists, upgradeable contracts. Once you hold such a token, there may be no way to sell it.

Tokens can imitate other tokens, including TRNCH. TRNCH has no token yet: any token using the TRNCH name is not ours. We hide the imitations we detect, but we cannot catch all of them. Check the contract address before you buy. See [Security](/security.md).

## 4. Slippage, price impact and MEV

The amount you receive is determined on-chain when the swap executes, not by the quote you saw. On thin pools, even small orders move the price. Bots can front-run or sandwich your transaction. A high slippage tolerance, set to force a trade through, increases what you can lose to these effects. A tolerance set too low makes the transaction fail, and you still pay gas.

## 5. Routing and quotes come from third parties

Quotes come from third-party aggregators, such as KyberSwap, LI.FI, Uniswap and 0x; the list may change. They can disagree with each other, be unavailable or return a price that does not reflect the pool. TRNCH may decline to show a route it considers unreliable, and may also fail to detect one that is. The executed route is a third-party smart contract you interact with directly. See [Routing and quotes](/trade/routing-and-quotes.md).

## 6. Smart contract and network risk

Tokens, pools, routers and Robinhood Chain itself are software. They can contain bugs, be exploited, halt or be reorganised. TRNCH has no control over them and no ability to intervene.

## 7. Fees

Each swap costs network gas and any fee charged by the router. A TRNCH service fee may also apply; when it does, it is included in the quote. The current fees and their status are on the [Fees](/trade/fees.md) page. Trading more to earn Packs multiplies these costs. Packs and Cards have no monetary value, and nothing guarantees they offset what you spend.

## 8. The Game

The Game opens in a later phase. Taking part in a round may require purchasing an entry, and you can lose that entry entirely: it is not refunded if your hand does not finish among the paid ranks. Card scores follow the real price moves of their tokens between your lock and the round's draw. Outcomes are uncertain and can be affected by manipulation, illiquidity or errors in the price sources we use. Rankings and rewards are subject to the [Terms of Use](/legal/terms.md), including our right to void results obtained by abuse. The Game may be unavailable, or limited, where the law restricts contests or games with a paid entry.

## 9. Self-custody

You alone control your wallet and keys. Losing them, signing a malicious transaction or approving a malicious contract cannot be undone. TRNCH will never ask for your recovery phrase or private key.

## 10. Legal and tax

Token trading and games with a paid entry may be restricted or taxed where you live. You are responsible for knowing and complying with your local laws, and for reporting your gains and losses.

## 11. No advice

Nothing on TRNCH is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Trade only with money you can afford to lose entirely.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.trnch.fun/legal/risk.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
