# Referral

Invite traders with your link and earn a commission on the TRNCH share of their swaps.

Invite traders with your link and earn a commission on the TRNCH share of their swaps. The commission is paid for bringing traders to TRNCH. It is not an investment.

## Your invite link

Every player has an invite link, `trnch.fun/ref/yourname`. Find it in **Profile > Earnings > Invite friends**.

When someone opens it, the link is applied automatically for 30 days. A small cookie holds the code, and nothing else. A banner shows the discount, with a close button. To remove the link, open any trnch.fun page with `?partner=off`, or clear cookies.

An invite link always contains `/ref/`. TRNCH partners have their own links, without `/ref/`. See [Partners](https://docs.trnch.fun/partners).

## What the referrer earns

* You earn **25%** of the TRNCH share actually collected on-chain on every swap made by the people you invite, for life.
* Swaps made through the Bot API count too.
* Only the TRNCH share that was actually collected on-chain counts.
* You also get 1 sealed pack when a friend you invited reaches $100 of volume.

## Bots and AI agents you build

Building a trading bot or an AI agent that other people run? Put your referral code in it. Every swap made with a key it creates earns you 25% of the TRNCH share, for life.

* With the API: add `ref` (your code) when the bot creates its key with `POST /register`.
* With our plugins (ElizaOS, GOAT, Coinbase AgentKit) and the MCP server: set `TRNCH_REF`, or `ref`.
* An unknown code is refused when the key is created.

See [Alerts and bots](https://docs.trnch.fun/alerts-and-bots).

## Payouts

* Payouts are made weekly, in USDG on Robinhood Chain.
* A payout is made once your balance reaches **$10**. Below that, the balance carries over to the next week.
* Weeks run from Monday 00:00 UTC to the following Monday 00:00 UTC.

## What the invited trader gets

A trader who comes through a referral link or a partner link gets **10% off the TRNCH share for 30 days**, and never more than 15%.

## One commission per swap

Only one commission is paid on a swap. If the swap came through a partner link, the partner is credited instead of the referrer. See [Partners](https://docs.trnch.fun/partners).

## Track it

Everything is in **Profile > Earnings > Invite friends**:

* your invitees
* the volume of each invitee
* what you have earned
* what has been paid
* your next payout

## Changes

The rate may change. A change applies to weeks that are not yet closed.

For the TRNCH share on each type of swap, see [Fees](https://docs.trnch.fun/trade/fees). The program is covered by the [Terms of Use](https://docs.trnch.fun/legal/terms).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.trnch.fun/referral.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
